Often times we utilize our in house maintenance crews from our existing Baltimore City maintenance contracts to help provide the latest up to date information for our clients. This timely and current information often leads to expedited first to market lead times. Highlander’s unique ability to cross reference our existing conduit maintenance contracts allow us to provide the latest information on the status and availability of the DPW conduit system. This firsthand knowledge along with our previous installations provides our clients with a service that is second to none.

Our in house permitting staff works daily with the local permitting departments. Our institutional knowledge and vast experience working everyday with the various agencies often allow Highlander to provide our clients with unmatched expedited service.

Our permitting team handles all permit requests from simple traffic lane closures to complex minor privilege and developers agreements. Highlander’s design and permit team strive to provide our clients the best cost effective and time sensitive solutions.

Baltimore City Fire Station Backbone: Highlander Contracting was responsible for the engineering, design, permitting, and construction for the connection of 45 Baltimore City Fire Stations. The time constrained complex project required the coordination of multiple Baltimore City existing infrastructure resources and numerous municipal agencies.

Northern Baltimore County Backbone: Highlander Contracting was responsible for the project management, engineering development and the construction of a fast track project of approximately 45,000 linear feet. The construction route consisted of all types of conduit installation, railroad crossings, sensitive stream crossings, State Highway right of ways and aerial installations. The time sensitive project was completed two months early and under budget.
